The Frankfort Village Board approved a historic buildings survey

The proposal has a project cost of $34,840.

FRANKFORT, IL — The Frankfort Village Board approved a historic buildings survey at its Monday board meeting.

During the meeting, Trustee Adam Borrelli said the Village was awarded a certified local government grant from the Illinois Department of Natural Resources for $24,500 to conduct the survey.

"There are 213 properties within the survey project area," Borrelli said. The survey area is in the H-1 Historic District.

The grant is a 70/30 match, so the Village will contribute 30 percent of the cost, and be reimbursed for the remaining 70 percent of the project cost.

The village received three responses to a request for proposal for professional services, and staff recommended McGuire Igleski & Associates, Inc., according to Board documents.
